Holiday Packaging Design
Each year, Jack Black’s holiday sets are a key moment for the brand—requiring a balance of premium design, festive appeal, and practical retail considerations. For the 2023 season, the creative brief emphasized increased product visibility through packaging cutouts, while still maintaining an elevated look that would resonate through the holidays and into January.
As part of our collaborative design process, each team member presented a concept, and mine was selected for production. I focused on creating a design that would appeal to both our core male audience and the women who often buy Jack Black as gifts. The final packaging featured a rich navy backdrop with illustrated botanicals, nodding to the brand’s ingredient stories and holiday greenery. Diamond-shaped cutouts—an intentional reference to the JB label—provided both visibility and visual sophistication, allowing the product to shine on shelves and under the tree, no wrapping required.
